I got my life roadrunner at the hotel Janet mentions while family members were playing golf. It is also a good launching point to drive to Mt. Lemmon. Highly recommend it.

According to their promotional material, they offer two "Tom Fazio-designed GPA golf courses." The rooms are layed out around a large, birdy garden. Our list from just the garden included: Costa's and Broad-billed Hummingbirds, Black-throated Gray Warbler, Black and Say's Phoebes, Cactus Wren and Black-throated Sparrow to name just a few. Also, Sabino Canyon, a birding hotspot, is only a 5-minute drive away and Mt. Lemmon, although farther, is very accessible for day trips.

Madera Canyon is nearby which is an AZ birding hotspot. Tubec is known for its art galleries, etc. I don't golf so this is the extent of my knowledge. Someone else may have more info. Have a wonderful trip.
