HI, all-

I'm glad Ken went back to Green Key to witness such an impressive movement of warblers this morning. I felt compelled to see if I could find some of the recent arrivals as they filter inland on their landfall feeding binge, so I hit Aripeka Sandhills Preserve at dawn. I also enjoyed a strong wave of birds moving through the preserve, with many down and feeding in the trees and bush here. While I didn't see anywhere near the numbers that Ken enjoyed- I did have a surprisingly large number of birds, with good variety. This is extraordinary stuff for Pasco County.

Hello,

With persistence east winds the flow this morning of migrating warblers through the funnel was the best for the season so far.

1000 + were counted flying past from 6:30am till 8:00am.  Although the number of warblers identified were low:

45 Northern Parula
42 American Redstart
38 Black-and-white
19 Black-throated Blue
14 Blackpoll
5 Palm
5 Common Yellowthroat
3 Northern Waterthrush
1 Prairie
1 Ovenbird
1 Cape May
